Well doesn't time just disappear when you're having fun?
Okay, maybe replace fun with working hard. I'm eating, breathing, sleeping and hopefully learning the basic clinical sciences (okay, they're called basic, but not really), and have come to realise that the accelerated MBBS course really is accelerated. I spend a single week on a topic, including acid base balance which is widely regarded as one of the hardest topics, before moving on to the next. Exams roll around, I see patients and practice on colleagues, and I spit out written documents at whim (2400 words in four hours, alright then!).
Regardless, I'm having a blast. I've never felt more energised, and downright interested in something before. Medicine is literally the most fascinating thing in the world, ever. In a few short months I'll be moving in to the next phase, the clinical phase, and beginning the real on-the-job training. I'm so excited.
The one shame is that I haven't done any photography for eons. Maybe when I find time...
